This License Agreement outlines the terms under which you (“the User”) are permitted to use the assets provided by TemplateOcean. The term “assets” includes mockups, templates, fonts, and all other resources available on TemplateOcean. By downloading or using these assets, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:
Permitted Uses
- Personal or Client Projects: The User is permitted to use the assets in personal projects or projects for clients. This includes, but is not limited to, design work, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Modification of Assets: The User is allowed to modify, alter, or adapt the assets as needed to fit their specific project requirements. This includes changing colors, sizes, and adding or removing elements.
- No Permission Needed: The User does not need to seek permission to use the assets in any project, whether personal or commercial. While attribution to TemplateOcean or the original creator is appreciated, it is not required.
- Website Templates: The User can incorporate the assets into website templates for demonstration purposes. This is particularly useful for showcasing design work and providing clients with visual examples of the final product.
Prohibited Uses
- Redistribution of Original Files: The User cannot redistribute the original files in their unaltered form. This includes sharing, selling, or making the files available for download on other platforms.
- Creating Competing Services: The User cannot compile, collect, or use the assets to create a competing service. This includes any attempt to develop a product or service that directly competes with TemplateOcean.
- Selling Assets: The User cannot sell the assets, whether in their original form or modified. This prohibition extends to all marketplaces and platforms where digital assets are sold.
Free Resource Aggregators
Websites that aggregate free resources are permitted to list the assets, provided they include a direct link to the original asset page on TemplateOcean for download. Aggregators cannot host the files themselves or offer them for download from their own servers.
Third-Party Assets
TemplateOcean also shares third-party assets that may be subject to different license terms. Each third-party asset will have a link to its specific license terms. The User must visit the provided URL on the asset page to review and comply with the third-party license terms.
Additional Terms
- Attribution: While attribution to TemplateOcean or the original creator is not required, it is appreciated. This helps support the continued availability of free assets and acknowledges the work of the creators.
- No Warranty: The assets are provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied. The User assumes all responsibility for any issues that arise from the use of the assets.
- Updates to License: This license agreement may be updated from time to time. It is the User’s responsibility to review the latest version of the license agreement to ensure compliance.
By using the assets, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of this License Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not permitted to use the assets.
